RE: Diesel below $4.00

Agree with Clinthia. Who would have thought that we would be happy (or less pissed off) to see $4 a gallon.
When you pay more than $4 regularly I believe anybody would be !! :W:W

RE: snakes,, NOT pets

The main ingredient of Snake Away is Napthalene, also an ingredient of Mothballs.
I spread two boxes of mothballs under our TT to repel mice, side benefit that it could be repelling the sakes as well.

RE: Reese Dual Cam questions

Not sure what wear is acceptable and I believe it has been posted previously about shimming out the brackets to square the bars to the cams. The cams can be swapped side to side to utililze the backside of the cam.
I use vaseline on mine and boy does it help eliminate the noise. I am sure it helps eliminate some wear as well. I also have the bars marked so that I always use the bar on the same side each time I hook-up.
No new truck yet ??

RE: Power Jacks

They are definitely worth the money.
My Atwood was on the fritz last month and I missed it terribly ! Turns out there was some corrosion on the upper section of the jack tubes causing lots of friction and making the clutches slip/ ratchet prematurely. Cleaned and lubed the tubes and now good as new.

RE: Thanks Island Resort CG... Berlin MD

Yes, all video. Thier web site covers the place pretty good with pictures also. I havn't figured out how to load a video on this site yet.. This place is very quiet compared to Frontier Town, but the sites are all big and all Water, electric and sewer. If you like fresh water fishing, this place is alot of fun.
Thanks...I will check 'em out.

RE: Camping Etiquette

Bright as day awning lights left on thru the night.
Loud music.
Obnoxious barking dogs (I like dogs but get annoyed at those that bark non-stop at every bug, sound or ray of light that comes its way).
Tow vehicles left idling for longer than five minutes.

RE: Portable Easy Flagpole

Right. I have one at home that has a spike that goes in the ground and I have it plugged into an extension cord--same kind of light that people use to spotlight wreathes, etc. at Christmas. I guess, in a campground, it would just have to be taken down at night if you there's no source of electricity.
I have the spike light for our Campsite flagpole (as shown above). I also use a night sensor to turn it on at dark and off at dawn. I point the light toward the TT so as to not disturb fellow campers but if the sites are close I take the flag down at dusk.

RE: Those annoying decals

I have seen several fivers that are devoid of all decals, of course they are the high end models and are painted in colors other than white.
When I see the FEMA trailers in stark white, I am glad our TT has decals.

RE: Cleaning your RV

Use a bottle of Spic and Span with one gallon of water on the roof, Blue Coral Wash n' Wax and I pour a little of Meguiars Wax Spray in the bucket for extra protection....
With the exception of adding the Meguiars to the soap, I do the same.
That is a great idea with the Meguiars...will have to try that next time (that being tomorrow evening when I wash the truck and trailer before we head out Thursday). Thanks for that tip !!

RE: hitch ball

I would definitely replace the ball if it is rated at 6,000#.
I did not when I upgraded to current TT and this is what I just found after the last big trip (look at base of ball stem, right about the center) :E:E.

I just replaced it with a 12,000# rated ball.
